What data do we collect?
Your profile information. When you register on Goodscast you give us information including full name, username, email address, telephone number, information you disclose in your user profile, and your photograph. If you choose to make a purchase on Goodscast you disclose your shipping address, billing address, and card details. If you choose to withdraw cash from your Goodscast you disclose bank details.
User content. We process the content you generate and view on Goodscast, including preferences you set, photographs, audios and videos you upload or create, comments (“User Content”). We may collect information about the images, video, and audio that are a part of your User Content, such as identifying the objects and scenery that appear, the nature of the audio, and the text of the words spoken in your User Content. We may also collect this information for content recommendations and content moderation. We collect information on users you follow, User Content you like, and messages you send on Goodscast.
Technical information. We collect information about the device you use to access Goodscast.
Location. We collect information about your approximate location.
How we use your personal data
We use the information we collect about you in the following ways:
- Notify you about changes to our service
- Provide you with customer support
- Personalise the content you receive
- Enable you to share User Content and interact with other users
- Enable our messenger service to function
- Communicate with you
- To help us detect and combat abuse, harmful activity, fraud, spam, and illegal activity on Goodscast
- Perform data analysis and test Goodscast to ensure its stability and security
- Allow you to participate in interactive features of Goodscast
- To ensure you are old enough to use Goodscast
- Enforce our terms, conditions, and policies
- To facilitate sales and purchase of goods
How we share your personal data
Payment providers. If you choose to make a purchase or withdraw cash on Goodscast your data will be shared with Stripe to provide security around your payment data and to facilitate a secure transaction.
Service providers. We provide information and content to service providers who facilitate the operation of our business, such as cloud service providers.
Analytics providers. We use analytics providers to help us in the optimisation and improvement of Goodscast.
Law enforcement. We will share your information with law enforcement agencies, public authorities, or other organisations if legally required to do so, or if such use is reasonably necessary to enforce our Terms of Use, detect, prevent or otherwise address security, fraud or technical issues.
Sale or merger. In the event that we buy or sell any business or assets, user information may be among the transferred assets.
What data can other users see through Goodscast?
When you use Goodscast, some of your data is public and can be seen by others. This includes your profile information, such as your username, profile picture, who follows you and who you are following. Information about items you list to sell and any reviews you give are public. Some things you do on Goodscast such as buy or sell an item are also public. This information is public to allow buyers and sellers to use Goodscast, including to allow buyers and sellers to make informed decisions regarding purchases and sales. Any comments from you or other users on your item listing will be publicly available.
Where do we store your personal data
The personal data we collect from you is stored on the Google Cloud Platform and on used cloud service providers. This may be outside of the country where you live. Not all countries have the same standards of data protection. However, where we do transfer your data to another country, we will only do this where we have appropriate measures in place to protect your data.
The security of your personal data
We take steps to ensure that your information is treated securely and in accordance with this policy. Unfortunately the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will protect your personal data, for example, by encryption, we cannot guarantee the security of your information transmitted via Goodscast; any transmission is at your own risk.
How long we keep your personal data
We retain your information for as long as it is necessary to provide you with the service. Where we do not need your information in order to provide the service to you, we retain it only for so long as we have a legitimate business purpose in keeping such data. However, there are occasions when we are likely to keep this data for longer in accordance with our legal obligations or where it is necessary for the establishment, exercise, or defence of legal claims.
Children
Goodscast is only available to users aged 18 or over. Goodscast is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under the age of 13. If you are under the age of 13, you are not allowed to use Goodscast. If you think a child under the age of 13 has given us their data, please contact us at support@goodscast.zendesk.com so we can remove this data and terminate the relevant account.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. When we update the Privacy Policy, we will notify you by updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this policy and posting the new Privacy Policy and providing any other notice required by applicable law. Your continued access to or use of Goodscast after the date of the updated policy constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. If you do not agree to the updated policy, you must stop accessing or using Goodscast.
